Going to Dave and Buster's is something my husband, and I love to do. We go often and every time we go, we have a great time. This time I was able to go as a blogger, and we had a blast. I was given a tour, and I didn't realize how much they have to offer. Our favorite Dave and Buster's is in downtown Chicago. Parking is only $6.00 for the whole day which is a steal. Just make sure to get your pass validated before you.
They have a new Sports Area where you can eat and watch the game. Dave and Buster's has three huge tv's and a projector. This is a must for any sports fan. The three televisions are 80 inches and the projected is 133 inches! This is any sports fan dream room! They also had food and drink special all season long! Click on Sport Area for more info on their specials!
They also have a pool area where you can rent by the hour. Friday and Saturday it is $14.00 an hour, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday is it $8.00 and every Wednesday Dave and Buster's gives 1/2 off their games, and this also includes the pool area which is rented by the hour. If you go on a Wednesday, you will only pay $4.00 an hour. That is a super awesome deal.
If you are looking for a place to cater your event, or you would like to hold a banquet they would be more than happy to help you plan and host your event. For more information contact Karisha Loiseau at email@example.com or call 312-821-8607
After the tour, my husband and I enjoyed a nice meal. For an appetizer, I got my husband's favorites. The mozzarella sticks and the potato skins. He was talking about how good they were the whole time he was eating them. lol
I always order the same thing. I don't know I am just addicted to the Bistro Steak & Shrimp with Lobster Alfredo, and I was so glad it was on the Eat, Play Win menu because this means you can add a bonus card to your order, which gave me $20.00 in game play after we were done eating. My husband got the Black Jack BBQ Chicken & Ribs and said it was super delicious and he also was able to add a $20.00 card to his meal. Our meals were $20.99 and it included $10.00 in games play and 100 tickets. We also upgraded to a $20.00 game card for an extra $8.00, so it is a really good deal. We went on a Thursday, but if you were going on a Wednesday when the games are half off, then this really would be a steal.
Aiden got the Chicken fingers and fries kids meal and he was obsessed with the ranch. lol I think he would have drank it if I let him.
For dessert, we shared a delicious Cheesecake with berry toppings. Who doesn't love cheesecake? Since I am pregnant, I was actually hungry two hours later. lol My husband was good to go way later that night.
We played lots of games. My husband really loved the Monopoly game, Deal or no deal and the Price is Right. I liked those also, but I have always liked the Basketball game the most. We also jammed out with some Guitar hero and went on their Simulated Rollercoaster Ride....well Aiden, and I did. Aiden loved it. We choose the Toy Store one. Aiden is only 1 1/2 so I held his hand and Daddy stood next to him, and he did fine, but kids his age should always be monitored because it does move a little and they could fall, but he loved it and he was protected the whole time by us.
Most of the games you can earn tickets which you can then exchange for prizes. You can also just hand them in, and they add it to your Dave and Busters Game Card, so you can save them and when your return the next time you can get the prize, you want. We have a little over 1,000 tickets, and we also have 1,000 or so tickets missing somewhere in the house...I hope. I told my husband, I hoped we didn't leave them on top of the car before we left. haha This was a from a few visits ago. We are moving soon, so I hoping we find them because I have my eye on The Big-Bang Theory game that is marked at 3,000 tickets. My husband and I love that show, so it will be a Trivia game we could totally play together.
Dave and Buster's is great for some many different things. It is a sport bar; it can be for a birthday party, a work event, a date night, a night out with guys/girls and family game night. The list is just endless, and that is why I love Dave and Buster's so much. The management was awesome and friendly, and they all were very personable. Our waitress was on top of things and friendly. I was a waitress for years, and I can be picky because I know what is to be expected, and she was awesome. She interacted with Aiden and our drinks were always refilled, and she checked on us every now and then to make sure everything was okay. I know she knew that I was a blogger and writing about the place, but my husband and I go there all the time, and we have always had amazing customer service, so I didn't feel like it was because of that at all.
If you run out of game play you can easily recharge your card at the area pictured above.
We plan on going back a few times this year with Aiden and a few times next year before the baby is born. After that Dave and Buster's will turn into our date night and I we will have to get a baby sitter. I can't wait until Aiden, and his brother or sister are old enough because we will take them all the time!
All the fun made Aiden very sleepy!
